As everyone in the midwest knows, our weather can be very unpredictable.  One day it might be sunny and warm, the next day we might have power outage causing thunderstorms.  Usually when one of these storms hit aquarists struggle to find ways to keep their livestock alive.  Some of us are lucky enough to have a generator or some other back up plan, but there are those that don't.  Those that don't have a back-up plan can suffer huge losses that can be expensive, difficult and sometimes impossible to recover from, especially in the case of the rare fish keepers.  With that in mind I saw a news story about a lfs in the Chicago area called Midwest Coral Farms helping out local aquarists after some extended power outages that I thought I would share.  Check out the local video footage taken by local news station, Fox Chicago News:

Hats off to Midwest Coral Farm for helping out their customers!

I have already offered this to someone, but i live well out of harms way, if anyone needs to house their fish, give me a call at 704-390-4897 if your power goes out and you find it wont be back on, or if you have to leave your house and need to house your fish and corals, i have a nice 100 gallon short but long and wide, pretty much empty but ready for any fish available, you WILL get your fish back, and no charge. i can keep anything but a large shark in that tank (for 2 reasons, 1 space, and 2 i dont want him eating the other fish lol) i even have experience and successful keeping of moorish idols for almost a year before i had to sell them and move. So again,
if you find yourself in need and worried, bring it over and i will be sure to take as best care as humanly possible.
