The Gate valves I did have to order in, I was not able to get the kind and size I wanted at Lowes.
So I ordered them off Amazon.

Very sharp looking :woohoo:

I hope the rest of your build goes smoothly, and looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Yeah, the dad thing is great but takes up time - and thanks for the kind words ;)

Everything is looking good! I want to say I've seen menards carry gate valves. Is there a reason why you went with the gate valves over a ball valve?

FWIW, I like using gate valves in tandem with ball valves. I use the gate valve to dial in my flow rate and the ball valve for on/off control :side:

Just as Phil said, how you are able to dial in with a gate valve in my opinion does not even compare with a standard ball valve.

The ball valves are hard to do slight adjustments. It's either to much or not enough. With a gate valve you can do a quarter turn or less with no problem. Making adjustments much easier.

Also I will have to check out menards for a local option. I live very close to Lowes so that's just easiest for myself.

Ok for the next update. At this point and time I was still in the plumbing phase, next was working on the returns in which I tee’d off both returns on each side making a grand total of four return lines. The returns were 1” tee’d off to two ½” lines on each side.

Due to these return lines could be seen from the top, I wanted them to look as nice as possible. I sanded all the numbers and letters that were on them as well as any extra notches. Also rounded all the edges giving them a really nice look.

As you can see the difference between the right and left. After sanded it has a softer look with rounded edges and much cleaner look.
