is this a mushroom coral or what kind of coral is it

That may be tough to say at that magnification/perspective. Can you manipulate the image any to increase the view on the polyp?

no my dad took the camera on a trip to LA and will be back next mon. so i used the phone

Can you describe it a little (how many mouths, shape, hard/soft, etc.)? From the photo its hard to say. Do you have other mushrooms close by?

brandon (dynamicreefs) gave me a purple blueish shroom that was big but then it disapeared and nowhere to be found the polyps in the pic r on a rock i got 2 days ago from bubba its 3 polyps,1 mouth, circular shape, soft, its a light purple polyp with a pink circular band and looks like a small shroom heres a "pic" of what it kind of looks like up close lol

could be anything really. If it's that small, it'd be hard to tell without a better picture. My bet is its a small zoanthid polyp. Thats just a stab in the dark though.

Kinda was thinking the same thing.

Actually it reminds me of some purple-ish mushrooms I use to have...
