SUGGESTIONS ON EASIEST WAY TO REMOVE BRISTLE WORMS

SO, WHEN I FIRST STARTED OFF IN SALTWATER 3 YEARS AGO. I DID JUST AS EVERY NOVICE WOULD AND PURCHASED LR FROM A CHEAPER PET STORE TO KEEP THE PRICE DOWN. WELL LITTLE KNOWN TO MYSELF AT THE TIME, UNWANTED CREATURES, BRISTLE WORMS CAN BE FOUND IN THE LR YOU GET FROM THE PETCO'S AND REALLY ABOUT ANYWHERE YOU BUY IT. AFTER THE YEARS OF ADDING CORALS TO THE LR AND IT GROWING AND ENCRUSTING OUT INTO SOME LARGER COLONIES, SOME ALMOST A FOOT ACROSS FROM A FRAG 1 INCH TALL, I AM LOOKING TO KEEP THESE CORAL COLONIES AND TRY TO REMOVE THE UNWANTED BRISTLE WORMS. YES I KNOW THEY ARE GOOD FOR DETRITUS AND CLEANING UP THE TANK, BUT I JUST DONT WANT THEM AROUND ANYMORE SO LOOKING TO SEE WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO REMOVING THESE TANK MATES WITHOUT HAVING TO SELL OFF THE CORALS AND START COMPLETELY OVER WITH FRESH DRY ROCK OR STAND THERE WITH TWEEZERS AT NIGHT SNAGGING THEM AS THEY POP OUT FROM THE ROCK WORK AND MOVING THEM TO MY SUMP FOR THE TIME BEING. LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS FROM THE KNOWLEDGE OF THIS GROUP AS I HAVE READ UP ON TRAPS, THAT DONT ALWAYS WORK ESPECIALLY WITH LARGER BRISTLE WORMS, OR FISH THAT MAY EAT THEM.

minus the traps and fish, the Arrow crab loves to eat bristle worms. After that I would have to say pull rock and dump peroxide on rock.
This would kill other things as well, but peroxide does kill the big guys pretty fast.

WHAT WOULD THE HARM TO THE CORAL BE IF I DUMPED PEROXIDE ON IT?

I would have to say make a trap is one of your best options although you will probably have to do it for several days and will still probably not get them all.

I used the trap, and worked well. I also made my own out of a Tums Antacid bottle. Drilled three holes in the middle on both sides and slid in small tubing. The tubing is at sand level, so the worms crawl in but can't get out.

I got apx. 10 of the dam things out of the 55g. I left the trap in the tank for a week after that, and haven't seen anymore. I know they killed 2 of our small clams !
