Eggs...

My brother was looking in the tank tonight and noticed his clown had spawned. This is the first time we have noticed this after 9 years of having the pair.

Since this is in the 250 gallon reef, it is my assumption they likely will not survive. Anyone had success breeding them in a non dedicated tank?

With predation, higher flow, and lack of abundance in food I would not say you chances are good. I have produced any eggs however myself.

Each clutch will get bigger my first clutch was similar to urs. And they also ate the first 4 or 5 clutches for some reason I think they weren't healthy enough and they new . My next clutch has around 300 and should be hatching tonight .

Some reason my first post didn't post.i was saying that I've just success lot bread my first baby clowns wich are mocha clowns definitely need a separate fry tank with only consists of air stone heater and light . Also very easy to get the fry out a tank even that size.

Also I'm u decide to raise them I have 2 cultures of rotifers going u can pm me if u need any

+1. With their ease in raising, and regular laying you can always try it down the road if you are looking for something new to try. 9 years is a long wait for ocellaris!
